Amy and Bryan were a dream to work with and when I saw the photos from their wedding day they were magically exactly as they described their vision of the day. Romantic and rustic but also refined and of course a ton of fun. Photographers Linda and Peter of Linda and Peter Photography captured this warm Summer wedding and all of it's details so exquisitely, from the application of Amy's makeup by my beloved friend Kristin, owner of House of Luciano Beauty to the packed dance floor filled with friends and family.
Can we talk about how beautiful Amy is? Her hair was casual and elegant done by Francesca Tricarico. Amy's lace dress by Wtoo was everything she described it would be and she looked unbelievably beautiful and the bridesmaids warm lavender flowing dresses spoke to her desire for a soft romantic look. But the groomsmen didn't leave the style to the women, their tuxes were fit to absolute perfection.
When I met with this beautiful couple Amy stressed romantic and Bryan wanted rustic....I love that modern trend of blending juxtaposing ideas, it makes for the most interesting and individual invitation suites. So we chose a soft blush to match the flowers, a champagne gold to add some sophistication, a strong geometric pattern for modernity and a casual wood grain pattern for a rustic element. I love when it all comes together like this!
Just before we ended our consultation Bryan requested something royal blue in the invitations, for his favorite football team, the NY Giants. I won't lie, Amy's face looked horrified after all of the talk of soft colors this wasn't soft, not even a little. It took my brain a split second to readjust and I was totally on board and assured Amy I would incorporate it in a subtle way....and that I did, in the form of a dark blue satin ribbon tying the invitation suite together. It was a little something unexpected and I actually can't imagine it without it now!
We created coordinating programs with Amy and Bryan's wedding logo as well as place cards on a thick blush card and table numbers to match. This invitation suite and day of items was as fun to work on as this wedding was to attend and I think every detail turned out absolutely beautifully. Congratulations to Amy and Bryan, I wish you both all the love and happiness the world has to offer!
