My sister and brother in law were married on a gorgeous spring day in May filled with tiny blossoms and the most perfect weather. When I sat down with Kylie and Chris to talk about their invitations they weren't sure what they wanted but were very clear on what they wanted for their day. She said romantic and elegant and he said rustic, think the location and decor, so the invites featured wood grain envelopes with rustic twine for him and pink flowers to reflect her blush pink dress. I created a modern wedding logo with their monogram that we used on everything from the invites to the programs, place cards, table numbers, etc....anything that would stand still!
Cobalt blue was the perfect compliment to Kylie's blush pink dress and the flowers tied it all together. Linda and Peter from Linda and Peter Photography captured the day beautifully!
You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger bridal party than this but Kylie and Chris included all the important people in their lives from family to friends! If there was anymore people we would have needed an aerial shot but the Barn was the perfect backdrop for photos of a bridal party of this magnitude.
The reception kicked off by an amazing entrance of the new Mr. and Mrs. D when Chris literally carried Kylie in on his shoulder and continued with great toasts by the groom's brother, the Best Man and by Kylie's sisters, the Maid of Honor and a bridesmaid who rapped their toast, it was beyond hysterical, the whole room was in stitches. Place cards featured the bride's reception logo and were displayed on a rustic birdcage created by the groom's mother.
One thing that they both felt very strongly about was the desire to have a party not a reception. I loved that....they wanted everyone to have a fabulous time and not to worry about formalities. Food was severed family style and beer and cocktails were flowing and the dance floor was packed right until the end of the night! We created a custom step and repeat with their logo and design elements from their invitation suite for guest's to take fun photos with great props during the reception, I mean party! And no one partied harder than the guests at this wedding!
