If you are a regular on The Asylum you probably love to spend some of your free time on Pinterest, taking Instagram photos, cooking and baking, making craft projects with your kids, party planning, shopping for clothes and doing your nails or decorating your home. I've been contemplating some of my fav websites for resources and information and today here are a three that I heart big time:
FOOD: Skinny Taste
All the recipes I've made from SkinnyTaste have lived up to my expectations, which are pretty high when it comes to food. My favorite discovery: zucchini pasta, which is literally just shredding zucchini on my mandoline like spaghetti...this is amazing because my family loves pasta and pasta loves to live on my thighs, so I rarely indulge. Zucchini noodles have helped me leave the guilt behind without sacrificing taste.
Gina, the founder of SkinnyTaste subscribes to a simple philosophy when creating recipes: it has to be skinny and tasty....nuff said right? Her photos are gorgeous and make you want to try everything. I'll bet my right hand you'll add this website to your arsenal after one recipe.
LIFESTYLE DIY: A Beautiful Mess
Sisters, Elsie and Emma, love photography, vintage fashion and doing it themselves. They create awesome cocktails, home decor projects and craft projects that are all featured on their blog. They are also published authors and have a huge Instagram following which they used as a springboard for their app named "A Beautiful Mess." You'll spend hours cruising through their site, I promise...tell your husband I'm sorry.
EVERYTHING: Brit + Co
Brit + Co is a great resource for all things living, food, DIY, fashion, tech etc. They do all the work for you by putting together a collection of DIY side tables or 20 Hostess Gifts that are under $25, etc....you can pin, tweet or post right from Brit + Co. to your Facebook page in order to keep all the links you like!
You can also purchase their "Brit Kits" which are DIY kits for projects similar to those posted on their websites. And the best thing is their app...I use it on my phone all the time. I just love this site, it's well organized, has a homepage that updates everyday, several times a day with new posts and the design is just fab.
Next week, I'll share a few more!
